You can add a background fill by adding a new fill below the pattern in the Appearance panel, you don’t need to change the pattern.
- Open the photo using Adobe Photoshop.
- Select the part you want to pixel blur, using the Rectangular Marquee Tool.
- Click Filter ==> Pixelate ==> Mosaic. The Mosaic window will pop up on the screen, change the value of the “Cell Size” field to determine the number of squares, When done, click “Ok”.
- You’re done!
You can copy an object from one artboard and then paste it into the same location on another artboard by using the new Paste in Place command (Edit > Paste In Place). Another helpful new command is the Paste On All Artboards option, which allows you to paste artwork on all artboards in the same location.
