WhatsApp freezes on every message on iOS 8 and 9

WhatsApp — the top messenger app on iOS seems to be experiencing noticeable issues after the latest update. The biggest problem is that it becomes completely unusable or extremely irritating to use. In essence, on every message you send or receive with WhatsApp, the app freezes for 10-30 seconds. Completely freezes, with no way to navigate across the app or do anything else, but to close it or wait.

The issue affects version 2.12.7 and here’s what the users have to say about that:

Who was affected by Facebook’s recent fake account purge?

In March 2015, Facebook announced that they will be cleaning inactive (read “fake”) profiles to “make likes more meaningful”. For us, it’s a great opportunity to see who was using grey-hat techniques to boost their Facebook pages’ fan count. So which celebrities and brands were affected the most?

The top 3 were:

1. Rihanna: -7,986,973 (9.8% of likes)
2. Shakira: -6,855,640 (6.8% of likes)
3. Katy Perry: -5,632,634 (7.8% of likes)

How to (finally) register a .uk domain

Hello there! It’s been many years of waiting before UK’s registrar Nominet finally released the .uk domain zone into the wild. Personally, I was dreaming of it since 2006 (and honestly thought that’s  never going to happen). Along with the ongoing trend of using domain zone hacks and registering websites using .io, .ly and other funky domain zones, a desire of acquiring a .uk domain to creatively apply to your website’s name was growing.  Now, starting from June 10, 2014, that became a reality. Although, it requires some extra effort to do it properly. Here’s how the process goes.
